Many Voices Day is a day when we have group discussions focusing on the subject of race and diversity. The whole point of the exercise is for people to open up and all them to say things they normally wouldnt ask or say. It was'nt a pass to call Black people Nigga's or any other racial slurs lol, but a day to ask questions that you might have been curious about.
I ran one of the groups today, along with Niko, Mike Wash, and Jabril, and we diccsued racial jokes that our often used by comedians and the everyday person. The ironic thing about this was that im probably use more racist jokes then anyone in me school. Im not actually racist but most of my jokes involve some race. But anyway today we basically watched Dave Chapelle, man I miss him [ : ( ], and Family Guy and asked why do you think that was racist and why? What gives him the right to say that? Basicaly we came to a conclusion:
Dave Chapelle is too funny not to laugh at his jokes, so that gives him the right, haha.
